Board of Assessors · Meeting of February 3, 2026
WENHAM — Board of Assessors approves warrant article lowering tax-deferral interest rates. Chair John Bucco, Vice Chair Patrick Waddell, and Member Lisa Craig voted unanimously to propose cutting the deferral rate from 8 percent to 5 percent for the April town meeting, bringing Wenham closer to surrounding communities that range between 2 and 8 percent. The Board also unanimously endorsed Waddell for reappointment and approved a recommendation that the Select Board place a cooperative-housing tax exemption local option on the warrant.
Contracts for Cartographics tax map maintenance and a Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal system conversion were signed without budget impact.
