Climate committee backs EV-First policy, rejects green power fee

Wenham climate committee reaches consensus on EV policy, rejects fee hike. The Climate Action and Sustainability Committee indicated support for adopting an EV-First policy without formal vote, while rejecting a proposed one-tenth of a cent per kilowatt-hour addition to Community Choice Aggregation fees. The committee cited unclear fund use and noted that few residents had opted for the 100 percent green CCA option, which costs one to two cents per kilowatt-hour additional.
No formal votes were taken on either substantive matter.
