Conservation Commission clears Gordon College, continues two projects
Conservation Commission · Meeting of January 12, 2026
Wenham Conservation Commission clears Gordon College's Lane Student Center expansion. The commission voted unanimously to issue a negative determination of applicability, allowing the project at 255 Grapevine Road to proceed without additional wetlands review. The proposed addition includes a permeable paver patio and retaining wall within the upland resource area.
The commission also scheduled continued reviews of two other projects: a 366-square-foot deck at 107 Topsfield Road requested by Cathryn Kent, and a ground-mounted solar array on the town's Iron Rail property projected to generate 240 kilowatts and save approximately 800,000 dollars over 25 years.
