CPC holds public hearing on five FY27 grant requests

WENHAM — The Wenham Community Preservation Committee held its annual public hearing Tuesday on FY27 grant applications totaling nearly $625,000, with funding decisions scheduled for January 20. Major requests included roof replacements for Town Hall ($145,000-$220,000) and the Police Station ($215,000-$315,000), a $150,000 digitization project for historic records, and an $89,320 cedar roof replacement for the Wenham Museum's Claflin Gerrish-Richards House. Assistant Town Administrator Joe Pessimato and Town Clerk Dianne Bucco outlined the records-preservation case; Wenham Museum Executive Director Sarah Sosa-Acevedo presented the museum roof project.
Cemetery Commission Chair Bill Wilson requested $10,000 for plot-data software. No votes were taken on grant applications at this hearing.
