Wenham Select Board approved a five-year waste contract with Casella featuring a 20 percent first-year cost increase and new recycling carts starting July 13. Town Administrator Steve Poulos said the town will use previously reserved funds to lessen budget impact. The Board unanimously advanced an affordable housing project, granting $17,500 to Habitat for Humanity for preliminary work on a two-home expansion at 7-9 Maple Street.
The Board also approved temporary construction easements for the Route 1A traffic improvement project and unanimously adopted the Electric Vehicle First Policy and Municipal Decarbonization Roadmap, completing requirements for Climate Leader designation.
