Wenham climate committee confirms Leader status, plans solar expansion. The Climate Action and Sustainability Committee affirmed Wenham's achievement of Climate Leader Community status through passage of the Stretch Code while advancing ongoing initiatives. The committee discussed finalization of an EV Policy for regional school district submission and development of a Climate Roadmap in partnership with Hamilton.
Solar expansion at the high school aims to reach 100% roof coverage. On water infrastructure, the committee reviewed testing results showing Wenham water passed Manganese and Iron testing, with PFAS levels under the allowable limit, and debated water treatment options estimated between 8 million and 12 million dollars.
