WENHAM CPC HEARS $598K IN GRANT REQUESTS AT ANNUAL PUBLIC HEARING

Wenham Community Preservation Committee holds annual public hearing on $598,350 in FY27 grant requests. Six projects were presented, with the Affordable Housing Trust seeking $300,000 for housing renovations at 24 Cherry Street, the Conservation Commission requesting $200,000 for future open space acquisitions, and a $49,000 Civil War Monument restoration project topping the list. Committee member Catherine Harrison recused herself from a $4,000 Enon-1 interpretive panel discussion due to family conflict of interest.
Final grant decisions are scheduled for January 20.
