Wenham Veterans Committee funds Civil War Memorial repairs

Wenham veterans advance war memorial work with $79,000 preservation award. Chair Dean Pedersen reported the Community Preservation Committee awarded $79,000 from reserves to fund Civil War Memorial repairs, while plans for the Cheeseman Memorial approach completion ahead of spring work. The committee approved January meeting minutes unanimously and heard updates from Vee Chipperini of the Cape Ann Veterans Affairs Office on regional VA activities and Purple Heart Community designations.
The next meeting is March 10, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Wenham Council on Aging.
